On Tuesday 23rd
April a team of 8 Year 5 and 6 boys attended an Al Noor football tournament at
the West Ham Foundation ground. We are really proud of the team who were
determined and played incredibly hard as they represented our school. Not only
did the boys play well they displayed our Rights Respecting School values as a
result of the way they presented themselves through their sportsmanlike behaviour.
Although the boys did not win the overall tournament positive discussions were
heard on the bus home as the boys thought about how they could improve their
performance next time! A fantastic day was had by all and we can't wait for
more opportunities for our teams to represent our school.
We want to
say a great big thank you to all of you for supporting us in encouraging
your children to get involved with March for Awareness with Comic Relief, World
Down syndrome Awareness Day and World Autism Awareness Day.
The feedback from
staff and pupils has been amazing. The children have been talking lots about
their differences and respecting their peers. We hope that they have been talking to you about it too!
